Convenient Access from Saxonville
Elm Street makes this one easy: follow it north out of Saxonville and you are in Sudbury before you know it. Sudbury Dental Excellence, our three-dentist practice in South Sudbury, is about 3 miles from Cameron Middle School, a 7-minute drive in light traffic. Families who need a dentist near Saxonville can book from 7 AM to 7 PM on weekdays or on Saturday mornings.
From Cameron Middle School at 215 Elm Street, drive north on Elm Street, which continues as Landham Road into Sudbury. At the end of Landham Road, turn left onto Route 20 (Boston Post Rd) and go west for about 0.7 mile. Turn right onto Concord Road, and you will find us at 15 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776, beside Goodnow Library.
Traffic on Route 20 can slow at rush hour, so allow a little longer then. Check our office on Google Maps for the turn onto Concord Road. Neighbors across north Framingham can visit our Nobscot page, and neighbors in Wayland's southern village can read our Cochituate page.
Saxonville's Mill Village Roots and Your Dental Home
Saxonville, in the northeast corner of Framingham, grew up around the falls of the Sudbury River. John Stone settled here in 1647 and built a grist mill at the falls, Framingham's first industry, and his family held the mill rights for nearly two centuries. The village later took its name from the Saxon Factory Company textile mill.
The Saxonville Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, preserves that story. It includes mill worker housing dating to the 1820s and 19th-century homes, and remnants of the control gates and gears from an 1865 dam can still be seen near the falls at Central Street.
Modern Saxonville mixes that history with plenty of open space. The Cochituate Rail Trail runs 3.7 miles from the village to Natick Center, with its full length open since 2021, and Saxonville Beach sits on the northwestern shore of Lake Cochituate. Pinefield, the adjoining area, is often named together with the village.
The village also has ties to its neighbor to the west. The Framingham library branch now named for Christa McAuliffe opened here in 1963 as the Saxonville Branch, then moved to a new building in Nobscot in 2016. On Danforth Street, a former dairy site has become homes, one more example of old village land finding new use.
Like the rest of Framingham, Saxonville is in Middlesex County, and it is one of the parts of the city closest to our office. Because Elm Street flows directly into Landham Road, a dental visit fits into a school-day afternoon without a long drive across the city.
Smile Concerns Saxonville Teens and Parents Bring Us
Middle schoolers at Cameron Middle School and younger kids at Stapleton Elementary, once known as the Saxonville Elementary School, are at the age when bites shift and adult teeth fill in. That makes regular exams especially useful for spotting crowding early. Teens who want straighter teeth often ask about clear aligners, which come out for eating and sports.
Wisdom teeth tend to become a topic in the later high school years, and Framingham High School students who live in Saxonville are a short drive from us. Our team evaluates whether third molars need to come out and offers sedation options for longer procedures.
Parents have their own goals. Some want to repair a chipped tooth from years ago, while others want a brighter smile with KoR whitening or porcelain veneers. Root canal therapy and CEREC crowns, designed and made in a single visit from digital impressions, handle the teeth that need more than a filling.
Adults who have avoided the dentist for a while are welcome too. Nitrous oxide helps many people relax during a cleaning, and oral conscious sedation, a prescribed pill, is available for moderate or severe anxiety. A first visit focuses on an exam, x-rays and a clear conversation about what, if anything, needs attention.
Weekday evenings are often the easiest time for busy families. We stay open until 7 PM Monday through Friday, so a student can come in after practice and a parent after work.

What Our Patients Say
Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Sudbury Dental Excellence from Saxonville, and how do I get there?
Our office is about 3 miles from Cameron Middle School, or roughly 7 minutes by car. Drive north on Elm Street and Landham Road, turn left on Route 20 and then right on Concord Road. It is a simple route for anyone choosing a dentist near Saxonville, with no highway driving involved.
Can you fix a chipped tooth?
Yes, most chipped teeth can be repaired. Small chips are often fixed with bonding, where tooth-colored material is shaped onto the tooth and polished. Larger breaks may need a porcelain veneer or a crown, and CEREC lets our dentists design and make many crowns in a single visit. If a chip is sharp or painful, call soon so the tooth can be checked.
Who qualifies for the $99 cleaning, exam and x-ray?
The $99 Cleaning, Exam & X-Ray is for new patients without insurance and without periodontal disease. It includes a full cleaning, an oral health exam and all standard x-rays. If the exam shows gum disease, your dentist explains the periodontal care you need instead, so you know the next step before anything begins.
Can students come in after school?
Yes. We stay open until 7 PM Monday through Friday, so middle and high school students can come in after classes, practices or rehearsals. Early appointments from 7 AM work for students who prefer to get a checkup done before the first bell, and Saturday mornings from 7 AM to 1 PM offer one more option.
Does a root canal always need a crown afterward?
Not always, but many treated teeth, especially molars and premolars, need one to protect them from cracking. Your dentist decides based on how much healthy tooth remains. When a crown is needed, CEREC often lets us design and make it in a single visit from digital impressions, and the root canal therapy itself is done right here.
