Turn left onto Concord Rd and our office sits just north of the intersection, beside Goodnow Library. Route 20 slows down at rush hour, so leave a few extra minutes for early or after-work visits.
Our address is 15 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776, and you can save it from our listing on Google Maps. Families north and south of the city can read our pages for Hudson and Southborough.
Marlborough and Sudbury: Old Neighbors on the Post Road
Marlborough was founded by Sudbury families. Edmund Rice and his neighbors petitioned for a new plantation in 1656, the town was incorporated in 1660, and it became a city in 1890. In between, it grew into a favorite rest stop on the Boston Post Road, where George Washington stopped at the Williams Tavern in 1789.
Shoemaking shaped the next chapter. Samuel Boyd started manufacturing shoes here in 1836, and the 1890 city seal still shows a factory, a shoe box and a pair of boots. Downtown, the 1905 Beaux-Arts City Hall anchors the Marlborough Center Historic District, and the John Brown Bell, brought back from Harpers Ferry by local soldiers, hangs in a tower at Route 85 and Main Street.
Today about 41,800 people live in this Middlesex County city. Housing is close to an even split between single-family homes and apartments or condos, and a little over half of households own their homes. The median age is in the late 30s, so working adults and young families make up a large share of residents.
The city is also a job center. Office parks cluster in the Southwest Quadrant near I-495, and the eastern end of I-290 begins here. The city borders Northborough, Berlin, Hudson, Southborough and Framingham as well as Sudbury, and Route 20 makes our office an easy stop on the way to or from work.
Fitting Dental Care Around a Marlborough Workday
For most working adults, the hardest part of dental care is the calendar. Our 7:00 AM starts let you finish a cleaning before a morning meeting, and appointments run until 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday hours from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM cover the weeks when weekdays are simply full.
Desk jobs bring their own habits. Coffee and snacks through the day, stress clenching and skipped checkups add up over time. Our dentists look for worn enamel, early decay and signs of grinding at every exam, and custom nightguards can protect teeth from overnight clenching.
Gum disease often goes unnoticed in busy adults because it rarely hurts in the early stages. Our practice has a periodontist on staff, which means scaling and root planing, antibiotic therapy and grafting all happen in the same office as your regular cleanings. Healthy gums also matter for anyone considering implants later.
Some patients want to fix a smile they have put off for years. Invisalign aligners come out for meetings and meals, while CEREC lets our dentists design and make many crowns in a single visit from digital impressions. Fewer appointments means less time away from work.
Students at Marlborough High School, the Whitcomb School and Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School keep their parents' calendars full as well. Family members can be seen in the same office as the working adults in the house, with cleanings, sealants, fluoride and sports mouthguards for the younger ones. Saturday mornings are often the easiest time to bring everyone in.
Three large lakes sit within city limits: Lake Williams, Millham Reservoir and Fort Meadow Reservoir, part of which reaches into Hudson. Most of the Sudbury Reservoir lies in Southborough and Marlborough, despite its name, with no part of it in the town of Sudbury. Our office is in Sudbury itself, a short drive east.

What Our Patients Say
Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Sudbury Dental Excellence from Marlborough, and how do I get there?
Our office is 7.5 miles from Marlborough City Hall, roughly 14 minutes by car. Take Main Street, Bolton Street and Lincoln Street to Route 20, then follow Boston Post Road East into Sudbury and turn left onto Concord Rd. Anyone weighing a dentist in Marlborough, MA against our office will find nearly the whole trip on that one road.
Do you see patients early in the morning?
Yes, appointments start at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. An early cleaning lets many commuters finish before a workday near I-495 begins. If evenings work better, we see patients until 7:00 PM on weekdays, and Saturday hours run from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM for weeks when weekdays are full.
Is my United Healthcare dental plan accepted?
Yes, United Healthcare is on the list of insurance plans our office currently accepts, along with Harvard Pilgrim and many others. Benefits differ from one employer plan to the next. Having your member information ready when you call helps the front desk understand your coverage before your first visit.
Do you treat sensitive teeth?
Yes, our dentists look for the cause of sensitivity at an exam, since worn enamel, a cracked tooth, decay and gum recession can all play a part. Treatment depends on what they find and may include a filling, bonding, a crown or gum care from our periodontist. A nightguard can help when grinding is wearing teeth down.
Do you take American Express?
Yes, we accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and cash. For larger treatment, interest-free payment plans are available through CareCredit and Cherry Financing, which let you spread the cost over time. Patients without insurance can also join the Savings Plan to reduce what they pay for many procedures.
